Very Very funny article about Johnossi.hihihihi
Nehmen wir es gleich vorweg. Johnossi kommen nicht aus Italien, auch wenn der Name so klingen mag, sondern aus Schweden. Dementsprechend hat ihre Musik auch nichts mit Eros Ramazotti oder Jovanotti gemein, sondern zeichnet sich durch testosterongetränkten Rock aus.John und Ossi. Das sind die zwei Protagonisten von Johnossi. Da sie besonders gewieft sind, haben sie kurzerhand ihre beiden Vornamen kombiniert und daraus ihren Bandnamen kreiert.
Der sehr schön klingt. Wie ihre Musik übrigens auch. Während der blonde John Engelbert die Vocals beisteuert und die Gitarre bedient, kümmert sich Ossi a.k.a. Oskar Bonde Profession um das Schlagzeug. Ja, zwei Musikanten. Ihr habt richtig gelesen. Das wirft Fragen auf. Die zwei wichtigsten versuchen wir im Folgenden zu beantworten.Nummer Eins wäre: Reichen denn zwei Musiker aus, um testosterongetränkte Musik zu kreieren? Antwort darauf lautet eindeutig ja. Die Energie, die die beiden bei ihren Konzerten freisetzen, reicht aus, um das gesamte Publikum zum Schwitzen zu bringen. Rock-Bombast vereint sich mit Blues und die hämmernden Beats vom Schlagzeuger Ossi lassen die Adern pulsieren. Womit wir bei Frage Nummer Zwei angekommen wären: Klingen die beiden jetzt wie die White Stripes? Wenn wir ehrlich sind - ein bisschen. Einzuräumen sei, dass Ossi sein Instrument aber bedienen kann und dass der Sound noch einen Tick erdiger daherkommt. Zur Gleichung addiert sich zudem noch der Umstand, dass John mit seiner Stimme wahrlich Gebäude zum Einfallen bringen könnte. Wenn er nur wollte. Solch ein Organ hat man selten zu hören bekommen. Die Vergleiche mit den White Stripes stören die beiden Schweden nur peripher. "Wenn die Leute hören, dass wir nur zu zweit sind, dann assoziieren sie automatisch die White Stripes mit uns. Dagegen können wir nichts machen. Auch wenn wir nicht der Meinung sind, dass unsere Musik etwas gemein hat. Beide Bands machen Rock-Musik, und das war es dann auch schon." Ossi ist sichtlich angeschlagen vom gestrigen Abend, während er an seiner Cola nippt und sich sein Sandkastenfreund John für geschlagene zehn Minuten auf die Toilette verzieht. "Weißt du", unterbricht Ossi das Schweigen: "John und ich kennen uns schon so lange, dass wir mittlerweile einen Punkt erreicht haben, an dem man sich fast wortlos versteht, sich nicht mehr streitet und einfach nur gute Musik hervorbringt. Nichts weiter." Das ist immerhin etwas.
